What to do with those Christmas Cards!

One of my favorite things about Christmas is getting those Christmas cards with the pictures on them. Where I get to see how all of my friend’s children have grown, or the new one’s that have been added. (Kind of like mine this year…talk about multiplication:) And every year when Christmas is over I think, “I don’t want to put these up.” But yet I put them in a box not to see again until next year. This year however, I came across a different idea.

When I told Gd what I wanted in my husband one thing I asked for was a man who loved football. Preferably SEC football. Preferably the University of South Carolina Gamecocks. Close enough I got a Georgia Bulldog fan who is willing to pull for the Gamecocks whenever their not playing Georgia. So, we’ve found some pretty sweet ground. He will tape the Mark Richt show for him and the Steve Spurrier show for me. So, during football season this fall Mark Richt, the coach of Georgia was doing a special on ESPN. And he said that his family takes a Christmas card a day and prays for that family during their morning family devotion. And I thought, “That’s it! That’s what I want to do.” So, starting January 1, I put all of my Christmas cards in my prayer journal and am praying for one family each day. This way, I don’t have to put my Christmas Cards up – and have a beautiful reminder every day of the amazing friends and family God has blessed me with.

What are you going to do with your Christmas Cards? Do you have something that you’ve done through the years with them?
