Day Twenty

The accusation that came from out of the blue last week has left me afraid. As I have been praying, and studying “Reclaiming Your Heart” and am on the chapter on fear, you make this clear.

With two new books coming out, my prayers, because of this incident, have been very different than prayers prayed with a “courageous” spirit, flowing from a clear “I Must.” And you can have no strategy or courage or confidence when walking in fear.

The text came over my phone after my walk and prayer. It simply read “Isaiah 41:10”. It was from my precious friend who God uses over and over with the perfect scripture in the perfect hour. Her listening ear and obedient heart still impact me.

Isaiah 41:10
“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
It continued….
“See, all your angry enemies lie there, confused and humiliated. Anyone who opposes you will die and come to nothing. You will look in vain for those who tried to conquer you. Those attack you will come to nothing. For I hold you by your right hand- I The Lord your God. And I say to you. Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.” Though you are a lowly worm, O Jacob, don’t be afraid, people of Israel, for I will help you. I am The Lord, your Redeemer. I am the Holy One of Israel. You will be a new threshing instrument with many sharp teeth. You will tear your enemies apart, making chaff of mountains.
You will toss them into the air, and the wind will blow them all away; a whirlwind will scatter them. Then you will rejoice in The Lord. You will glory in the Holy One of Israel.”

I just rejoiced at this word to me! It was just you loving me in my details. It was a reminder to me of who you were to me during my single years. How you spoke to me. How you directed me. How you led me. You just led me at every turn. Every step. You loved me in my details.

And in those moments when someone’s accusations would make me doubt I’m reminded of your detailed love.

My watch-
The call from Wanda
Getting rid of my former husband’s stuff and the intense desire to purge right before I met Philly.
The bikes
Philly’s heart and conversations with his father.
Moving someone out of our lives when you did.

Perfect love casteth out all fear. Sometimes we simply need to remind ourselves what that Love looks like.
